Global Health Expert Laurie Garrett Discusses Pandemic Prevention and H1N1 with NPR
The first International Swine Flu Conference is underway in Washington, D.C. Medical industry leaders, public health officials, scientists, first responders and others will discuss the virus, known within the medical community as H1N1 — particularly issues of pandemic prevention, preparedness, and recovery. The event is one of several recent indications that the U.S. government and health officials are anxious about the upcoming flu season.
